Robo-Bees. Pollination. Wuuut?

I about fell out of my chair when I read this little blurb from Scientific American about Robo-Bees could aid insects with pollination duties. I guess I forgot how advanced drones really are now. I was first reminded at the super bowl this year when 300 of them were in perfect formation for the halftime show. Amazing.

While I think this is a very innovative solution to this problem, two things come to mind:
  • Drones can literally become the flies on the walls. Pretty creepy. Pollination today, super spy technology tomorrow.
  • Why don't we figure out how to save the bees, too? We're innovative enough to do that, as well.
