Year of Gratitude - Day 52 - Coming to America

I am really grateful that my family had the courage to leave their homeland, cross an ocean and start from scratch here in the United States of America. There is no telling what kind of life we would have led if we stayed in Poland, but I am very grateful for what I have been able to accomplish here. The idea of moving to a completely foreign country is pretty scary to me. I can't imagine how fearful immigrants must be. I was too young to be scared back then, but I can appreciate that fear now.
